Nicola Gravante was born in Switzerland and his passion for dance started at an early age when he took his first ballet class at 11 years old. He finished his professional Musical School in Vienna at the ‘Performing Arts Studios’. He has performed in many musicals (Mamma Mia, On the Town, Jesus Christ Superstar) in Vienna, Munich, Zurich and St. Gallen.
After a knee injury, Pilates helped him to get in shape again for the stage. In this ‘recovery’ time he realised how beneficial and complete the Pilates method was.
Before and after his Pilates teacher training in Milan by ‘Covatech Pilates School’ recognised by PMA (Pilates Alliance Method), he took several classes and workshops with Jean Claude Nelson ‘Bluebird Pilates Munich’ and Alexandra Schmid ‘Pilates Studio Alexandra Schmid’ Roberto Cerini, Enrico Prandini both ‘Balanced Body Master Trainers’ and Miguel Silva ‘Unopilates’.
‘Never stop learning’ is Nicola’s motto. In order to improve his knowledge about the human body, Nicola regularly takes teacher training: the Anatomy workshop from Blandine Calais Germaine/ Scolio Pilates from Karena M. Thek /Pilates on Tour in Venezia.
He offers private and group classes in the following languages: IT/EN/DE/FR.
Nicola currently teaches between Vienna (Nickpilates Studio) Zurich (Live Fit Studio/ Holmes Place/ Fitnesspark/ PowerQi) Milan (Justb Pilates).
He has also offered Pilates Workshops In Thailand; ‘Pilates for Athletes’, and martial arts in Koh Phangan ‘Momentum Mixed Movement Arts.’
